THEIR MAJESTIES LEAVES FOR BOTSWANA  

Their Majesties King Letsie III and Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso left the country to Botswana on Wednesday to attend the funeral of Former Botswana President Sir Ketumile Masire.

Sir Masire died at the age of 91 on Thursday last week and will be laid to rest on Thursday (June 29) at Kanye in Botswana.

This is according to a press release issued by the Information Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Relations on Tuesday.

The press release says their Majesties are accompanied on this visit by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Mr. Halebonoe Sets'abi and senior government officials.

Sir Masire served as the Botswana President from 1980 to 1998. He is the second president of Botswana after Sir Seretse Khama
