FIRST LADY PARTNERS WITH UAE IN FOOD DISTRIBUTION

As Coronavirus 19 (COVID-19) pandemic continues to affect the world including Lesotho, the First Lady Mrs. ‘Masekoalane Majoro in partnership with the United Arab Emirates national, Mr. Omar Shehata donated food parcels to 100 members of National Association of the Deaf Lesotho (NADL).
When delivering food packages in Maseru on Friday, Mrs. Majoro said having suffered from Arthritis for a long time, she understands various challenges faced by people living with different kinds of disability.
She remarked that in this difficult period of COVID-19, it is important that people with disability have access to information so that they can as well take prevention measures.
Mrs. Majoro therefore assured people with disability that her commitment in complementing the Ministry of Social Development as well as the office of Her Majesty Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso in their endeavour is to support the most vulnerable like the disabled.
In the same token, Mr. Omar Shehata thanked the First Lady for her invitation in supporting the NADL community especially during this time when coronavirus has affected nations.
Mr. Shehata therefore wished Lesotho and Basotho well in this trying time of COVID-19.
“May God protect and save the nation from the virus,” he stressed.
On behalf of the NADL community, the NADL Chairperson, Mrs. Bongiwe Busi expressed gratitude to the First Lady, saying they are thankful for the food parcels during this difficult time of the coronavirus pandemic.
The food parcels were distributed to 100 members of NADAL.
