He said the above mentioned skills are needed in the country, expressing gratitude to the government of Bulgaria.

He added that since Bulgaria became a European Union (EU) member in 2007, she automatically became Lesotho’s partner and supported the country in peace sectors of development, supply of water and strengthening governance structures amongst others.

He also emphasised the need for both countries to initiate dialogue and consultations on how they could use structures to elevate their bonds of cooperation.

In conclusion, His Majesty assured the Ambassador of Basotho’s support during her tenure of office.

Presenting her letters of credence, Mrs. Tzotzokrova-Kaymaktchevieva asserted that there is a possibility for Basotho youth to pursue studies at Bulgaria’s Universities.

She added that she will focus on a bilateral legal framework and work hard to enhance political dialogue during her presence in the county.

She further said Bulgaria appreciates Lesotho’s contribution to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) mission in Mozambique by deploying her troops, adding that Bulgaria supports the economic agreement signed between SADC and EU.
