His Majesty King Letsie lll accepted reforms plenary ll report during the closed session at the Royal Palace in Maseru.
This is after the National Dialogue Planning Committee (NDPC) presented the report to Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Facilitator and the Leadership of Lesotho during an event held in Maseru on Wednesday.
Ms. Mamello Morrison presented the report to His Majesty on behalf of the entire committee.
Present during the presentation of the report included; the Minister of Communications, Science and Technology, Chief Thesele Maseribane who represented the government, NDPC Chairperson, Mr. Chaka Ntsane and over 10 members of the committee.
Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of the Justice Dikgang Moseneke during the handing over of the report to the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) facilitator and Lesotho leadership, Mr. Enver Surty applauded Basotho for all the arguments, which led to this achievement, saying what happened during the debate is allowed in a democratic country.
He however appealed Basotho to ensure that their arguments and disagreements do not delay any process intended to bring transformation.
Also speaking, Chief Maseribane who received the report on behalf of the Prime Minister commended all for having supported the process and the Christian Council of Lesotho (CCL) for having provided spiritual guidance, thus enabling them to see things positively.
“As government, we are committed to ensuring that the entire reforms process become a success,” he stressed.
In the same token, the Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Mr. Mathibeli Mokhothu said the report will go a long way in changing the laws and government structures in the country.
He said despite the fact that there were differences between the opposition and government during the process, he is happy this milestone has been realised.
Mr. Mokhothu further appealed for speedy inauguration of National Reforms Authority (NRA), which will undertake the reforms implementation.
He stressed that it is time to ensure that the will of people is done because the people have spoken.
Speaking on behalf of NDPC, Mr. Ntsane thanked His Majesty and the entire nation for having entrusted them the responsibility to serve.
 
There are seven areas under reforms namely; Constitution, Media, Judiciary, Parliament, Public Service, Security and Economy.
