The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI), Ms. Nthati Moorosi officiated a one-day high- level meeting on Cybersecurity held in Maseru on Wednesday.
The cardinal focus of the meeting was on education, protecting the rights of people in the digital space, and above all deliberating towards fast-tracking Cybersecurity Bill currently before Parliament, was attended by various stakeholders.
According to the Minister, the law is long overdue. She added that open dialogue is vital and encouraged concerted efforts in today’s dynamic world of technology.
She stipulated that while the government seeks to move forward in the digital economy, the availability of the law in Lesotho will help the country develop economically through the use of digital platforms.
