NEW MINISTERS SWORN-IN

Three newly appointed Cabinet ministers were sworn-in as ministers at the ceremony administered by the acting Chief Justice, Justice Maseforo Mahase at the Royal Palace in Maseru on Monday.
The new ministers are Mr. Litṡoane Litṡoane who is the Minister of Local Government and Chieftainship, Mr. Semano Sekatle is the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Mokherane Tsatsanyane.
However, Messieurs Litṡoane and Sekatle are not new in the ministerial portfolios as Mr. Litṡoane was the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security in the first Coalition Government in Lesotho in 2012-2015  while Mr. Sekatle has served as Minister of Public Service in the 2007-2012 government which was led by the then Prime Minister, Dr Pakalitha Mosisili and shortly served as Minister of Public Works and Transport in 2017 under the Democratic Congress (DC) government still led by Dr Pakalitha Mosisili.
Meanwhile, the cabinet reshuffle saw Mr. Habofanoe Lehana who was Minister of Local Government and Chieftainship transferred to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, replacing Mr. Tefo Mapesela who is now Minister of Defence and National Security.
Mr. Leshoboro Mohlajoa who was the Deputy Minister in Prime Minister Office has been moved to the Ministry of Forestry and Land Reclamation while former Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Tṡehlo Ramarou has been moved to the Office of the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister in Prime Minister’s Office.
