The Honourable Minister of Public Service
Honourable Semano Sekatle
Honourable Semano Sekatle is the Minister of Public Service and a Member of Parliament.
In December 2018, Honourable Sekatle was appointed the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture and was subsequently moved to his current position of the Minister of Public Service, He has been elected into the National Assembly as Member of Parliament for the Lebakeng Constituency since 2006.
Honourable Sekatle holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration and Political Science from the National University of Lesotho (1976-1980), Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relation (1988-1989) and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the University of Natal (2001).
In 2017, Honourable Sekatle was appointed a Minister of Development Planning following his election as a Member of Parliament in 2012. He has also served as the Minister of Public Works and Transport from 2011 to 2012. Before elected into Parliament, Honourable Sekattle served in various government senior portfolios in the Public Service of Lesotho. In 1995, he was the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Local government until 1999. He held the same position in the Ministry of Public Service from 1999 to 2001. Honourable Sekatle was appointed Acting Government Secretary in 2002, the position he held until 2004.
He is married and blessed with three children.
