PM ATTENDS DOUBLE TROIKA IN ANGOLA

The Prime Minister, Dr Motsoahae Thabane will attend a one-day Southern African Development Community (SADC) Double Troika Summit of the heads of state and government in Luanda, Angola on Tuesday.
This is according to the Press Attaché in the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr. Thabo Thakalekoala when speaking in an interview on Monday.
He said the Double Troika Summit will receive progress reports on the implementation of the SADC decisions made on Lesotho.
He further noted that they will also get report on political and security situation in Congo as well as the consolidation of democracy in the southern African region.
Mr. Thakalekoala added that the summit will comprise of the heads of state and government from South Africa, Namibia, the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland), Angola, Zambia and Tanzania respectively.
He pointed out that the Troika is mandated to steer and provide member States with direction in matters that threaten peace and stability in the region.
He said the Prime Minister will attend the Summit en route from the Commonwealth Heads of State and Government meeting (CHOGM) in London, UK. He returns home on Thursday.
