PM INAUGURATES MOHALE’S HOEK POLICE BUILDING

The Prime Minister, Dr Motsoahae Thomas Thabane officially opened the M11 million worth police facility in Mohale’s Hoek on Monday.
Speaking during the launch, Dr Thabane said the upgraded facility is intended to ease police work, make it interesting and serve as motivation hence add lost hope among the police.
He said the government’s mandate is to ensure that police operate under conducive environment with necessary equipment and transport available for speedy delivery of services to the public and crime prevention
Dr Thabane noted that crime prevention is not only the responsibility of the police but all members of the public, therefore urged the public to establish crime prevention committees in their villages and work together with the police in preventing and fighting crime.
The Prime Minister reminded the police of their mandate to serve the public with respect, dedication and love, urging them to focus on addressing challenges faced by the elderly, middle aged women and girls who he said have become victims of several cases of violence.
The facility which cost M11 million was built by PJ Ts’oeu which is a local contractor. It is one of the five, which the Ministry of Public Works funded including; Mohalinyane, Mafeteng, Mants’onyane and Leribe.
