PM VISITS NCC

In preparation for the launch, the Prime Minister, Dr. Moeketsi Majoro inspected the National Contact Centre (NCC) based in Post Office building Maseru on Tuesday.
Upon completion of the inspection, the PM highlighted that the centre is meant to comprehend efforts of the Citizen Feedback Mechanism (CFM), thus addressing the needs of citizens in relation to service delivery.
He said the data collected will be used for analysis purposes so that in response, the government is able to address the needs and wants of the nation.
Dr. Majoro also expressed the need for NCC staff to operate twenty-four hours or even consider working in shifts to address matters arising from the public round the clock.
He noted that it is anticipated that the official launch of the centre will be on Monday, May 23, 2022. Therefore, he urged staff to be alert and prepared to answer and respond to concerns of the society working hand in glove with Ministries pro-actively.
Also speaking, Acting Director-General ICT in the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology (MCST), Mr. Khiba Masiu said answers should be provided to the nation immediately and be escalated further to line Ministries where there is a need to do so.
Moreover, Mr. Masiu said matters beyond and or macro external factors will form part of regular reports to be submitted to the office of the PM. The society can now call the toll-free number 80010100 for inquiry purposes relating to government Ministries.
NCC is an idea born out of a citizen support initiative whereby governments of the world have found it fitting to introduce this mechanism in an attempt to ensure that nations access services directly and quickly.
