Her Majesty Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso has challenged members of the Hlokomela Bana Foundation to apply more concerted efforts towards transforming lives of vulnerable and orphaned children.
This she said during an event held in Maseru whereby she indicated that by so doing, they will be attracting more companies and people of goodwill to donate to the Foundation, thus making it easier for them to fulfill their mandate of helping the needy.
At the event, proceeds collected during Her Majesty’s celebration that was held in June were presented to the Foundation, AVANI Hotels-Lesotho and Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) donated a cheque of M10 000 each, while Botho University donated M3 500.

AVANI Hotels Human Resource Manager Mr. Lesekelo Makara highlighted that the donation is part of their Corporate Social Investment (CSI) whereby they aim to assist the needy.
He noted that they are grateful to bring change in lives of children, adding that investing in young generation means investing in the country’s economy.

Hlokomela Bana was formed in the 1980s by the late Queen ‘Mamohato Bereng Seeiso to provide care and support for some of the most vulnerable children in Lesotho.
