SADC FACILITATION TEAM IN THE COUNTRY

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Facilitation team led by Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke is in the country to finalise the SADC Report on the National Reforms.
The SADC Report on the National Reforms is due to be presented by the SACD facilitator to Lesotho, President Cyril Ramaphosa at the 41st SADC Summit scheduled for Lilongwe, Malawi on 17th to 18th August 2021.
While in the country on Wednesday, the team paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister, Dr Moeketsi Majoro at his offices in Maseru.
Deputy Chief Justice Moseneke held consultative meetings with stakeholders that include National Reforms Authority (NRH), opposition parties in Parliament, and the coalition government.
It is expected that on Thursday, the SADC team will also meet with the Christian Council of Lesotho (CCL), College of Chiefs as well as to end the visit by meeting with His Majesty King Letsie III.
