Responsibilities: The Minister’s responsibilities include:

• To set the strategic direction for the Office of the Prime Minister;
• To oversee the implementation of the Departmental plans and policies;
• To approve the Ministerial Budget;
• To liaise with all Ministers on the activities that have to be officiated by the Right Honourable the Prime Minister;
• To officiate at Ministerial meetings and activities.
• To respond to Parliamentary questions.

The Minister’s Political Role:

• Honourable Limpho Tau was appointed Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister on November 4, 2022.
• He previously served as a Member of Parliament from 2017-2022, representing TY Constituency No: 24 under the Democratic Party of Lesotho (DPL).

Education: He holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Free State in South Africa and obtained Bachelor of Science (BSC) from the National University of Lesotho (NUL). Political career:

• He formed the Democratic Party of Lesotho (DPL) in May 2016.
• He was elected 2nd best candidate in TY Constituency in 2015 under the umbrella of Basotho National Party (BNP).

Career outside Politics:

• He is an active member of Catholic Christian Life Community (CLC) Sodality.
• He served as President of Lioli football Club from 2007–2009.
• Founder and Chairman of LIMPHO TAU FOUNDATION (LTF) which helps the needy.

Personal life: Hon. Tau was born in 1970. He is married and are blessed with four children
