TWO JUDGES CONFIRMED

The High Court of Lesotho has appointed two other judges after the appointment of acting Judge Polo Banyane last week.
Their swearing-in took place at the Royal Palace in Maseru on Wednesday.
Judge Thamsanqa Nomcqongo led acting Judges Moroke Alexis Mokhesi and Keketso Lesihla Moahloli in taking oath of judicial office and of allegiance in the presence of His Majesty King Letsie III, Acting Prime Minister, Mr. Monyane Moleleki, Cabinet Ministers, Senior Officials from the judicial and other local authorities.
The two Judges promised to be faithful to His Majesty and his successors and to undertake their duties to the best of their abilities.
They also promised that in their capacity as Judges of the High Court, they will administer justice to all persons without fear, favour or prejudice in accordance with the constitution and the laws of Lesotho.
Judge Mokhesi was born on April 20,1974. He holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the National University of Lesotho (NUL), and Masters of Laws (LLM) from the University of the Witwatersrand
On the other hand, Judge Moahloli was born on April 25, 1954. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland in 1977 and Postgraduate certificate in Legal Practice conferred by the University of Cape Town in conjunction with the Law Society of South Africa. He holds a Postgraduate certificate in Construction Adjudication from the University of Pretoria.
The swearing-in of the two judges brings the total number of judges in the High Court of Lesotho and the Court of Appeal to 12.
