UNDP DONATES ICT EQUIPMENT TO GOVERNMENT MINISTRIES

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has donated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment to government ministries in support of the Lesotho Government response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is according to the UNDP media statement which further states that the Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation is among the beneficiaries as it requested the equipment for the continuity of the EYEs project in the 2020 financial year.
The Ministry of Small Business Development, Cooperatives and Marketing also received equipment for the development of the Micro Business Registry and assisting the government in identifying and targeting MSMEs that require support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations received equipment as an assistant to the ministry to efficiently carry out its mandate.
The Ministry of Development Planning received ICT equipment support to ensure business continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic while the National Assembly received equipment with the purpose to facilitate social distancing during the House sittings so to ensure business continuity.
The donated equipment comprised of 42 laptops and docking stations, 2 smart TVs, 2 Audio distributors for the recording of live sessions in Parliament, 2 room camera, speaker, desk microphone and 1 online Streaming encoder.
