ZAKHURA BROTHERS PRESENTS PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR SECURITY AGENCIES

The Zakhura Brothers donated personal protective equipment to security agencies in the country at the event held in Mafeteng on Saturday.
The objective is to contribute towards the fight against COVID-19 in the country.
According to the press release issued by the National Emergency Command Centre (NECC), the equipment consists of 3000 latex gloves, 400 masks, 21 x 5 litres of sanitizers and bottles of gel, saying these will be given to the Lesotho Defence Force, Lesotho Mounted Police Service, National Security Service and Lesotho Correction Services.
It further shows that the donor has also pledged to meet the Mafeteng District Disaster Management Authority (DMA) to identify vulnerable people who live in the outskirts of Mafeteng town for future assistance.
The release shows that the Minister of Mining and also Member of Parliament for Mafeteng Constituency No. 55, Mr. Temeki Tṥolo accepted the donation on behalf of the government and thanked Zakhura Brothers for giving back to Basotho and showing support during this trying time.
It states that Mr. Tṥolo urged other companies to consider contributing towards the fight against COVID-19.
The release further states that the donation was handed over to the District Emergency Command Centre who will pass it to the beneficiaries.
Present to represent the National Emergency Command Centre (NECC) were members of the Communication Cluster; Mr. Thabo Thakalekoala, the Mayor of Maseru, Chief Hlathe Majara and Mrs. Malineo Mots’epe, states the release.
Zakhura Brothers is a Mafeteng based company.
Meanwhile, citizens are encouraged to remain vigilant and maintain health safety guidelines to minimise the spread of the virus. That is, wash hands with soap and running water or sanitisers, observe coughing and sneezing etiquette and follow quarantine measures.
