The district of Maseru will commemorate His Majesty King Letsie III`s birthday in Rothe on Wednesday.
The national event of his 61st birthday will be held in Botha-Bothe.
Speaking in an interview with Lesotho News Agency (LENA), the District Administrator of the Maseru district Mr Ts’epo Lethobane said that the celebration will be held at the St. Barnabas playgrounds in Rothe where various celebratory entertaining activities will be held.
He stated that expected at this celebration are the Principal Chief of Rothe, the Principal Chief of Ha Ramabanta, the Principal Chief of Thaba-Bosiu and that of Ha Maama.
His Majesty’s Birthday is celebrated annually on July 17th to honour the birth of the current monarch. Born Mohato Bereng Seeiso in July, 17th, 1963, King Letsie III succeeded his father, Moshoeshoe II.
