The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation Hon. Nthati Moorosi officially opened the four-day data governance workshop in Maseru, on Monday.
The workshop serves to provide space where the stakeholders will engage in meaningful dialogue to identify gaps in the current legislation, explore best practices for data stewardship and cybersecurity.
It aims to build consensus and policy reforms that reflect both national priorities and regional commitment.
It further seeks to empower the public and private sectors to protect citizens and position Lesotho as a leader in digital transformation.
