The Minister of Information Communication Science Technology and Innovation, Ms Nthati Moorosi addressed the selected 200 youth on day 3 of the #STEAM2025 boot camp in Teyateyaneng on Wednesday.
In her address, she emphasised that it is not only important for the youth to express their passion for innovation, but it is also very important to make their own innovations #bankable.
She further noted that participants from the previous year’s entries who were not selected should not feel discouraged or lose hope, but they should continue to refine and reapply the following year.
The Minister further touched on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in innovation. She stated that it is important for the youth to strategically make use of AI so as to enhance their innovations.
In her closing remarks, she expressed her utmost gratitude to the collaborating partners of the #STEAM2025 bootcamp; namely, the #UNDP team with Dr Jacqueline Olweya, The Brand PR team alongside Mr Libe Mohale, Project Lead (STEAM). As well as the 200 youth that showed up for the bootcamp.
