The Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania, Her Excellency Ms Rasa Jankauskaite, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ms Nthati Moorosi.
Lithuania has developed into an important center for science and digital technology, with strong capabilities in biotechnology and Information and Communications Technology. This growth is driven by robust academic institutions, government support, and a vibrant startup ecosystem.
During the discussion, Minister Moorosi noted that Lesotho seems to be lagging behind in life sciences research and innovation. She emphasized the need for Lesotho to learn from countries that have achieved notable progress in these fields.
The meeting resulted in a mutual understanding to strengthen knowledge exchange in scientific research, digital transformation, and broadcasting.
