The Kingdom of Lesotho proudly marked a significant milestone with the ceremonial raising of its national flag at the African Union, symbolizing its active and impactful tenure as a Member of the AU Peace and Security Council (#PSC).
The ceremony reflects Lesotho’s deep sense of responsibility and excitement to contribute meaningfully to advancing peace, security, and stability across the continent. As the flag ascended, so too did our collective resolve to uphold the principles of unity, solidarity, and African solutions to African challenges.
Leading the occasion, H.E. Ambassador Ntsiuoa SEKETE underscored that Lesotho’s presence in the PSC is not only a national honour but a continental duty—anchored in dialogue, prevention, and inclusive peacebuilding.
This moment is a celebration of Basotho pride and a reaffirmation of our commitment to serve Africa with integrity, humility, and purpose.
