LESOTHO GOVERNMENT IS DEDICATED TO CREATE MEANINGFUL OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH TO THRIVE IN THE DIGITAL SECTOR

The Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) has congratulated Ms. Nomvuduka Mabaleha on her selection to join the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) Emerging Professionals Programme.
In a statement, the ministry said Ms. Mabaleha’s selection is a proud achievement for Lesotho and demonstrates the potential of young Basotho when they are given access to the right platforms and opportunities.
The ministry noted that earlier this year Lesotho had the honour of hosting the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation. It said the engagement is already producing positive results by creating meaningful opportunities for young Basotho to participate, learn and contribute within the wider Commonwealth digital community.
According to the ministry, Ms. Mabaleha’s achievement reflects the country’s growing presence in the digital sector and highlights the importance of investing in young professionals.
MICSTI also expressed appreciation to the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation for recognising Lesotho’s talent and for its continued partnership in developing the next generation of digital leaders.
The ministry wished Ms. Mabaleha and the other six Emerging Professionals every success as they begin the programme, saying it is confident they will make valuable contributions to the Commonwealth’s digital transformation efforts.
