The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho is pleased to announce that Lesotho has not been included among the economies targeted under the United States’ new Section 301 tariff measures relating to forced-labour concerns.
Effective 24 July 2026, AGOA-eligible exports from Lesotho continue to enter the United States market duty-free. This provides local manufacturers with a valuable competitive advantage over a number of international competitors facing substantially higher tariff rates.
The development strengthens Lesotho’s position as a preferred destination for export-oriented manufacturing and trade.
