He said understanding this initiative will go a long way hence increasing production and enhancing sustainable dairy production in the country.
Mr. ‘Mantutle, therefore, appealed to those who will be involved in this initiative to put all necessary efforts towards implementation, improvement and success of the dairy industry.
On behalf of the Lesotho National Dairy Board, Mr. Abiele Mashale said when realising the need to improve and re-establish the dairy industry in the country, the board resolved to partner with relevant stakeholders after realising that it could not achieve it alone.
He mentioned that the LNDB is working with a number of stakeholders such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security through the Department of Livestock.
Speaking about some of the board achievements, Mr. Mashale said the LNDB bought about 200 dairy cows with the aim to improve the dairy industry.
Again, LNDB has bought together farmers in all the districts except for the Thaba-Tseka district.
