The Deputy Principal Secretary (DPS) in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Mr. Lisema Lekhooana has urged Parliamentarians to support climate change campaigns in an attempt to curb its effects.
He said this at an informal sitting in the National Assembly on Wednesday.
The Ministry together with Lesotho Lowlands Rural Water Supply and sanitation project lobbied House Members to be Ambassadors in their Constituencies.
This, he said will help all parties in their quest to seek an audience in raising awareness on climate change and adaptation. “In solidarity we can go a long way in changing the current situation.”
Mr. Lekhooana mentioned that climate change has negative impact on peoples’ livelihoods, the more reason concerted efforts are vital for growth and development of Lesotho.
