The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI), Ms. Nthati Moorosi recently officiated the District Administrators` training on accountability.
The training attended by District Administrators (DAs’) across the country was meant to empower and capacitate participants with accountability and transparency skills in their quest to deliver.
Talking to participants, Ms Moorosi highlighted the importance of DAs’ in helping the government achieve its mandate of serving the society including coordinating efforts meant to strengthen their work.
“As you serve, there is need for you to know the budget, and treasury processes as well as plans”, she stressed.
On behalf of DAs’, Mr Ts’epo Lethobane of Maseru, appreciated the opportunity given, indicating it will go a long way is strengthening their work.
“This is part of PM’s inauguration speech where we intend to ensure performance and accountability are measured when serving,” he stressed.
The training was held with support of a unit under Prime Minister, known as Central Delivery Unit (CDU).
