The press release further indicates that this appointment, made with the recommendation and support of the Government of Lesotho, highlights the AU’s trust in Lesotho’s seasoned statesmen and the Kingdom’s growing role in advancing democracy, governance, and integration across the continent.
Ambassador Ntsiuoa Sekete, Lesotho’s Permanent Representative to the AU, hailed the appointment as a national honor.
