Her Excellency Ms. Rasa Jankauskaitė, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Lesotho, presented her Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Letsie III at the Royal Palace.
She succeeds H.E. Ms. Sigutė Jakštonytė, who completed her tour of duty. Ambassador Jankauskaitė brings extensive diplomatic experience, having served in Lithuania’s missions in the United Kingdom, Spain, China, the European Union, and as Ambassador to South Africa, accredited to Angola, Botswana, and Mozambique.
Since establishing diplomatic relations in 2000, Lesotho and Lithuania have cultivated cooperation in multilateral forums and areas of mutual interest, including economic development, investment, and sustainable growth. The Kingdom looks forward to further strengthening these ties under Ambassador Jankauskaitė’s leadership.
