PRIME MINISTER HANDS OVER 29 VEHICLES AND 6 MOTORCYCLE

The  Prime Minister, Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane handed over 29 vehicles and 6 motorcycles to National Security Services (NSS) and Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS) to enhance Ministerial Capacity.
Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister said the government will continue to provide and support the security departments,  He stressed  that these vehicles belong to the public, and therefore must serve the community and benefit everyone without discrimination.
furthermore he said the government believes that for any officer to work effectively, they must be provided with the necessary resources. He urged the departments to continue serving the public diligently using this equipment, noting that crime has become a serious concern for the society. He concluded by commending both security agencies for their commendable work.
Similarly, The Minister in the Prime Minister’s office Mr. Limpho Tau said these vehicles and motorcycles are tools meant to help address the direct challenges faced by Basotho such as crime, stocktheft, housing breaking and many other criminal activities. He added that without these vehicles, the security institutions would fail to effectively carry out their curbing strategies.
The LMPS received 6 motor vehicles and 6 motor cycles, while NSS received 23 vehicles.
