How can Lesotho ensure that the benefits arising from its biological resources are accessed and shared fairly?
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry in collaboration with UNDP Lesotho convened with the Natural Resources, Tourism and Land Cluster Portfolio Committee for a strategic workshop on Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) from 12–13 August 2026.
The workshop is strengthening understanding of the Nagoya Protocol, the Access to Benefits Sharing Project and the legal and policy measures needed to support biodiversity governance in Lesotho, including the Biodiversity Bill.
The session is also an opportunity to strengthen stakeholder capacity and build support for implementing the ABS Project.
