Their Majesties King Letsie III and Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso visited the Health Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, where they were introduced to the latest global innovations in healthcare, medical technology, and public health solutions.
They were accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Lejone Mpotjoane, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Business Development, Mokhethi Shelile, and the Minister of Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture, Motlatsi Maqelepo. The visit reflected Lesotho’s strong interest in adopting global best practices to improve health outcomes at home.
The Health Pavilion featured cutting-edge advancements in areas such as digital health systems, artificial intelligence in diagnostics, biotechnology, and sustainable healthcare delivery models. The royal delegation engaged with experts and exhibitors who presented tools and strategies to make healthcare more accessible, especially in rural and low-income communities.
Her Majesty, known for her advocacy in maternal and youth health, showed particular interest in community-based health interventions and innovations addressing women and children’s wellbeing.
