KING LETSIE 111 APPOINTED INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON AND COMMISSIONERS.
His Majesty King Letsie 111 appointed the Chairperson and two Commissioners of Independent Electoral Commission [IEC] on the advice of the Council of state, the appointment have been made in accordance with section 66 [1] of the Constitution of Lesotho, 1993 as amended.
Appointed are Rev. Dr. John Maphephe as the Chairperson, Dr. Chelete Monyane and Mrs. Ponts'o 'M'amatlere Matete as Commissioners.
These appointments had been officially published in the Government Gazette legal notice no.4 of 2026
