Government through the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MICSTI) is committed to protecting and promoting digital infrastructure says the Director in the Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mr Khiba Masiu.
“Safeguarding and ensuring effective use of digital infrastructure, will go a long way in enhancing resilience amid cyber threats and attacks we get to face”, he continued.
Furthermore, he added that as the world celebrates Cybersecurity Month, in a few days the country through the Ministry will host a cyber drill.
In conclusion, he said as countries celebrate cyber security month, the need to look into enhancing effective usage of digital is even more critical and should go beyond this month to ensure that they proactively act against cyber-attacks.
