Preparations for His Majesty King Letsie III’s birthday celebration are underway in the Maseru district and the event will be held at Rothe on July 17.
The Maseru District Administrator(DA) DA Mr Ts’epo Lethobane has highlighted that his office has already formed sub-committees within the District Ceremony Committee, with the objective of ensuring that the celebration becomes a success.
He explained that these sub-committees are made up of government ministries and parastatals, and will oversee that activities, which include entertainment, communications, environment, infrastructure, catering, decorations, protocol, health and accommodations are done.
He added that inspection and rehearsals will commence on June 17 at Rothe.
The National celebration for the His Majesty’s birthday will this year be held in Botha-Bothe on July 17. His Majesty King Letsie III will be turning 61.
