Madam President, Honourable ‘Mamonaheng Mokitimi led the Parliament of the Kingdom of Lesotho at the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), taking place from 15–19 April 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye. That high-level global gathering brought together parliaments from around the world to deliberate on pressing international issues and strengthen democratic governance.
The delegation actively showcased Lesotho’s ongoing efforts in governance reform, peacebuilding, and inclusive economic growth. The outcomes of the Assembly, including resolutions and policy recommendations will guide parliamentary action globally and inform Lesotho’s legislative and oversight work back home.
