The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ms Nthati Moorosi held a bilateral meeting with Dr Volker Wissing of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport of Germany, with the aim of strengthening cooperation on digital development.
Discussions focused on policy and governance, including progress on shared vision for a digitally empowered future Lesotho’s commitment to building strong international partnerships in the digital sector, comprehensive data management frameworks to support a secure and well-coordinated digital ecosystem. The two sides also explored cooperation on broadband mapping and the expansion of fibre infrastructure to improve national connectivity.
The meeting further considered capacity building initiatives, with emphasis on digital skills development and specialized software training for vocational institutions, as well as collaboration on the development and implementation of e-services to improve government service delivery.
