The United Nations Headquarters in New York came alive with colour, aroma and the sounds of the world in an event Organized by the United Nations Delegations Spouses Club (UNDSC) the annual International Bazaar which transformed the Visitors Plaza into a vibrant global marketplace. Nations from every corner of the earth gathered to share their cuisine, crafts, and cultural traditions. Visitors, Diplomats and locals wandered from booth to booth sampling homemade dishes and sweet delicacies discovering that food, more than anything, has a way of making strangers feel like neighbours.
Lesotho proudly made products were brought and displayed on booths to reflect the warmth and richness of Basotho culture to the plaza as well as to entice guests with handcrafted items, cultural displays and a taste of the hearty wholesome flavors that embody life in the highlands of Southern Africa.
Lesotho’s delegation represented the spirit of the bazaar and celebrated far from The Mountain Kingdom.
Proceeds from the event go directly toward charitable initiatives and global humanitarian relief, giving every purchase and every shared meal a deeper purpose. In this way, the 2026 UN International Bazaar wove together culture, community, and compassion, reminding the world that our differences, when shared openly, become our greatest common ground.
