The Government of Lesotho, through the Ministry of Education and Training, has embarked on an ambitious initiative to strengthen the country’s education system through the construction of 27 modern laboratories and workshops in high schools across all ten districts.
Contractors have already begun mobilizing to project sites, with construction activities commencing in various parts of the country. The facilities are expected to be completed by December 2026, marking a significant milestone in government’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education and equip learners with practical skills required in the modern world.
The project is aimed at enhancing the teaching and learning of science, technology and technical subjects by providing learners with safe, well-equipped spaces for experimentation, innovation and hands-on training. It also seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice, enabling students to develop competencies that will better prepare them for tertiary education, employment and entrepreneurship.
