Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP) strives to foster innovation in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), says the institution’s Rector, Professor Tlali Sepiriti.

Speaking to Lesotho News Agency (LENA), Professor Sepiriti stated that the current innovation hub under construction will go a long way in contributing towards the realisation of the said goal.

He further explained that there is a variety of compositions of different equipment in this hub that includes a woodwork lab, Food Tech Lab, Video graphics and photography fabrication including ICT equipment to mention but few.

He said this equipment will enable not only LP students but others coming from outside to come and learn here, interact, and share skills to grow their business ideas.

He encouraged others to feel free to consult LP and ask how best to utilize these services for the growth and development of the entire country. The hub has been supported financially and otherwise by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

At the heart of the United Nations (UN), are the 17 SDGs to highlight the connections between the environmental, social, and economic aspects, thus calling for a world where no one is left behind.

These SDGs were adopted by UN Member States to end poverty, reduce inequality, and build a more peaceful planet amongst others.
