Β The newly appointed Minister of Public Service, Honourable Moeketsi Mots’oane said that his priority will be to promote stability within the ruling party while ensuring improved performance in his new office.
Mr. Motsβoane, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Mafeteng Constituency, was appointed minister with effect from 19th May 2026 following the latest cabinet changes announced by the government.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency shortly after his appointment, Mr. Motsβoane said that he assumes office at a critical time when divisions within the ruling party require unity and collective responsibility.
He noted that his focus will be to contribute towards restoring stability and strengthening cooperation within the party in order to ensure effective governance and service delivery.
The minister further stated that although he is entering a new portfolio, then he is prepared to learn and work with relevant stakeholders to improve performance in the ministry.
βI am willing to learn and ensure that the office performs better for the benefit of Basotho,β he said.
Mr. Motsβoane also expressed appreciation for the confidence shown in him, pledging commitment and dedication in carrying out his new responsibilities.
