Talking about the organisation’s strategy, he explained that CRS strategy aligns well with Lesotho’ s national strategic plan which talks to agriculture to mention but a few.
“We believe that in solidarity, we can reach a point where all are able to produce for themselves so as to address hunger”. He stressed.
He highlighted that with His Majesty as the Nutrition Ambassador, he will work hand in glove with CRS team to also ensure that stunting among children under five currently at 20 percent locally is tackled, saying no child should be left behind.
Furthermore, he said CRS also works together with the Ministry of Education to strengthen school feeding programmes as well as RENOKA project to address the effects of climate change.
Mr. Callahan arrived in the country on Saturday and will be leaving Lesotho for Baltimore, Maryland in the United States of America (USA) this coming Saturday.
CRS works towards easing sufferings by supporting and assisting the needy while also helping in response towards and against climate change, thus enabling farmers to adapt to the new changes.
