The Prime Minister, Mr. Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane with his cabinet visited the family of the former Prime Minister, Dr Pakalitha Mosisili to convey condolences on the passing on of their son on Wednesday.
Speaking on behalf of the Mosisili family, Dr Mosisili explained that doctors reported the deceased Mr. Rethabile Mosisili to be having a problem with his liver.
He said for the past three weeks, the deceased complained of abdominal pain that also led him into an induced coma in his last days.
Dr Mosisili said as a parent, he was still hoping that his son would have a longer life as he was also looking forward to his 50th birthday which he was supposed to celebrate on the 19th of February.
When conveying his condolences, the Prime Minister said death in the Mosisili family struck when he was planning to have Dr Mosisili join him for his trip to Namibia for the burial of the President of Namibia, Mr. Hage Geingob.
He added that he was still hoping to meet with the deceased to discuss with him other matters that benefit the nation he believed he had skills on.
Mr. Rethabile Godfrey Mosisili was born on February 19th, 1974. While working for the Lesotho Government, he served as a Deputy Principal Secretary and the Chief Delegate at the Lesotho Highlands Water Commission.
The deceased will be buried at Waterfall in Qacha’s Nek on Saturday, February 17th.
