The Minister’s Profile: Honorable Rapapa was appointed as the Minister of Education and Training after winning the Constituency of Mosalemane No19 during the National Assembly General Elections held on the 07 October 2022. Educational Background: He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom which he acquired in 1999. In 1995 he obtained Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Physics from the International Centre of Theoretical Physics in Italy. Apart from his international education, Honorable Rapapa also attained a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics at the National University of Lesotho in 1993. Political Career: He is the Leader of Alliance of Democrats (AD). Career outside Politics: Honorable Rapapa worked as the Chief Executive Officer for the Lesotho Electricity and Water Authority (LEWA) from 2010 to 2016. He also worked at the National University of Lesotho as an Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer and Assistant lecturer from 1995 to 2010 respectively. He was a Teaching Assistant and Tutorial Assistant at the University of Manchester from 1997 to 1999. Personal Life: He is married and are blessed with two children.
