The United States of America Ambassador to Lesotho, Ms. Maria Brewer, has bid farewell to the Kingdom of Lesotho.
This was stated by the U.S Embassy Lesotho through its official media page.
In the statement, the Embassy explained that Ms. Brewer has served as a profound leader to strengthen the enduring bond between the United States and the Kingdom of Lesotho.
She presented her credentials to His Majesty King Letsie III at the royal palace on March 10, 2022.
During her span in Lesotho, Ambassador Brewer said to His Majesty King Letsie III that, on behalf of President Joseph R. Biden and the American people, she commits her government’s friendship, support, and partnership to work alongside His Majesty and the Government of Lesotho to build a brighter future for the Basotho people.
According to the statement, Ambassador Brewer is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. She was nominated by President Biden as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Lesotho in April 2021. She was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on December 18, 2021.
Meanwhile, the statement further announced that Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms. Keisha Toms is acting as the US Ambassador to Lesotho.
