LDF SENDS OFF FALLEN MEMBER

Commando Private Moalosi Khoaele who passed on while on a South African Development Community (SADC) mission in Mozambique was given a sendoff at the ceremony held at Khutsong Military Cemetery, Ratjomose Barracks in Maseru on Sunday.
Private Khoaele succumbed to death due to Malaria related illness on November 27, 2021.
Conveying his condolences, the Prime Minister, Dr Moeketsi Majoro said Commando Private Khoaele’s death is not only a loss to the family but also to Basotho and the government which had to send them on a mission.
He remarked that the Lesotho contingent is now faced with the challenge of completing the mission with a shortage due to the fallen soldier.
Also speaking, the Commander of the Lesotho Defense Force  (LDF) Lieutenant General Mojalefa Letsoela thanked the Lesotho government for the support it has given to the LDF and to the family of the deceased during this time.
He also thanked the government for having faith in the Lesotho Defense Force by assigning them to Mozambique as it shows the trust that the LDF participation could restore peace and stability in Mozambique.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the family, Mr. Ramootsi Lefa thanked LDF and the nation at large for the support it has given them since the beginning of the ordeal.
He said the death of Private Khoaele has left them with a gap that no one can ever feel as he leaves behind a young child.
He was born in 1986 and he survived by his parents, wife and son.
