PM LEAVES FOR NEW YORK 

The Prime Minister, Dr Moeketsi Majoro left the country on Sunday to attend the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York from September 21 to 27.
The theme for this event is, ‘Building resilience through hope to recover from the COVID-19, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of people and revitalise the United Nations.
It is expected that at the opening of the general debate, the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres will introduce the Annual Report on the Activities of the Organisation.
Established in 1945 under the Charter of the United Nations, the General Assembly occupies a central position as the chief deliberative, policymaking and representative organ of the United Nations.
